Hello,
I`m an old friend of Sue Spicer but unfortunately have lost contact with her. The last time I saw her was on the Rainbow Warrior in Hamburg. Can someone help me with her address and/or phone Nr.? I would greatly appreciate this.
Thanks,
Kristina Kettling

And here's another one...

Cut up the pumpkin and roast with olive oil and salt. Whilst that's roasting chop up onions, garlic, ginger, chilli and coriander then add sesame oil, other oil and lemon juice...(equal quantities) let it all macerate (brew) till pumpkin is cooked. Fold pumpkin through macerated mixture, cover and let cool. Toast up some sunflower seeds and sprinkle on top. YUM. And if you have yummy spelt bread ( like we do, unless Ben ate it all) serve atop. Kathy, darling, one of the stray cats is becoming my friend. I'm calling her Kathy in your absence. She's way pregnant, very beautiful and we're going to take her to the SPCA for a little termination early next week. ( no more pussies in the pool episodes) Enjoy the pumpkins. Life could be WAY worse! x

Native Pumpkin Soup- Thanks to Sue Spicer - Chief Cook, Greenpeace Antarctic Expedition 1990-91 Second Leg.

Simmer pumpkin in stock with bell pepper (capsicum) onion, garlic and bouquet garni. Thin and add 1/4c soy sauce, 3 TBL chives, 3 TBL curry, generous amount of garlic powder, pepper and nutmeg. Garnish with Parsley and Pumpkin seed (toasted best)

Try with west indian coconut bread...
350degrees celcius oven
Mix together 7oz shredded coconut, 4C flour, 2C sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon,1tsp nutmeg, 2tsp Vanilla, 2tsp nutmeg, 2tsp baking powder, 1C milk, 1/2 C coconut cream, 4 TBL sour cream, 1tsp salt, 4 beaten eggs. Seperate to 2 x (5 x 9) loaf pans. Cook 1 hour...

Welcome to Gisborne... "squash"(or pumpkins) and Pine Forestry two of the biggest industries here...
Squash big to Japanese market....
Pine incentives big in earlier days...Any chance of adding value to this product?

Landholders of "the coast" might be wondering if their native manuka or large blocks of trees can be used as carbon credits. Does such a scheme exist still?
