Have you ever been inside a hot air balloon? Probably not. Neither had I until this morning when I got the opportunity to walk around inside one as we prepared to launch the Greenpeace hot air balloon. I can certainly recommend it if you ever get the chance. Quite surreal - especially if the balloon is painted like the earth.

After a very early start this morning we launched our giant, planet-replica hot air balloon over Bastion Point.

This ties in with the start of our six week tour aboard the Rainbow Warrior. The theme of the tour is targeting climate change and that’s the message carried by the balloon over Auckland in reference to New Zealand’s.
