Can you please tell me if there is an environmentally acceptable burner that heats and cooks and is reasonably priced......that would work well with a recommended ventillation system (do you recommend one of these?)

I am a member or greenpeace and am planning to try and live simply and reenergise my cottage environmentally friendly. Solar panel recommendations would be welcome too!
Anything elso you can think of?
