Well done guys and in Auckland where the bulk of fish consumers live and eat.

Its a little disheartening to see the money I’m giving going towards a silly publicity stunt. I give money monthly because I care about the environment and want to see change for the better. This Cafe gig that was set up is a spiteful piss-take. I think you could have done something far more effective for the cost of that wee set up. Much more of these silly antics and I may have to find someone else who will use my contribution to actually do something about these sorts of situations and not just poke fun @ offenders

funnily enough I have actually eaten jellyfish – bout 8 years ago in korea.

I don’t eat fish anymore though in protest to commercial fishing practices. I am just glad that more people are realising we cannot continue in the fashion.

    good on you Greenpeace.

    I agree with Tom,

What a waste of MY money. Surely you could have addressed this issue a lot better then putting jelly fish on a plate??

I no lonnger eat fish dining in or out. If we all refuse to purchase and eat fish then there would be a marked downsizing in the catches and it would give the oceans a chance to restock. I think those who go “big game” fishing out to be castigated as they are no better than whale hunters.

I have been covered in a red burning and itching skin everytime that I consume a small portion of fish and have recently discovered that the fish that I have been purchasing from the supermarkets are full of mercury! So I’ve stopped eating fish and have not had another allergy! I wonder if there are others also suffering from it and if they know that it could be fish?

I dont eat fish any more, There is not enough in the sea,and the way people are going they are going to be very sorry in years to come.

I too no longer eat fish. Much of the existing fish in the sea are already struggling for survival and even if they weren’t, the oceans are even more polluted than the land and the air. All of that pollution concentrates in the flesh of the ocean’s creatures; not healthy for anyone. So stop eating fish, people, or at the very least drastically reduce your consumption.

Greenpeace is not wasting money. They are creatively finding ways to get attention; something they are very good at. If they just picketed or set up an info booth, people would just look away. I mean come on, somebody has to do something! I mean really, you people who are protesting Greenpeace’s protest, what are YOU DOING to educate the masses? Don’t just criticize. Be constructive, give them a better idea, if you have one.

I agree with Melissa, Greenpeace do a fantastic job on our behalf.. at most times putting themselves in dangerous situations and fronting up face to face with the public to get their point across to as many people as possible.. they need our SUPPORT more then ever and recieving negative criticism and comments of pulling out over little petty things doesn’t help Greenpeace, our planet or us who support them 150 %,
So what POSITIVE or CONSTRUCTIVE ideas do YOU have to share, if any !

I agree, things have got in a desperate situation, it shows just how desperate by taking these sort of measures to get the point out there. People find it quite easy to turn there heads and carry on life as usual. It shows the public that if something is not done about this situation, that could be all you have offered on a menu at seafood outlets.
Keep up the good work green peace. Everybody needs to wake up before it is to late to undo what has been done.
    A none fish eater!
