See you in Tauranga
Over the weekend we renewed our call for John Key and dairy giant Fonterra to stop the import of palm based animal feed because of its devastating climate impact. Greenpeace activists painted a large “Fonterra Climate Crime” on a shipment from Indonesia in the Port of Taranaki.
The shipment has now left the Port of Taranaki and is bound for Tauranga where the remainder of the PKE will be unloaded – and then distributed by truck to Fonterra’s dairy farms.
And this is where you come in. We will be at the Port of Tauranga to meet the shipment and we’d love you to meet us there.
The shipment will arrive into the Port of Tauranga on Tuesday 13th October in the afternoon. We will be at the gates with our banners and a noisy contingent ready to get vocal about this issue. Please join us at 5.00 pm for an hour, make a banner if you want to, and help show a united opposition to Fonterra’s climate crimes.
What: A peaceful protest
Where: Corner Hull Road & Totara Street, Mt Maunganui
When: Tues 13th @ 5:00 pm
See you there!
